M'kay, so yeah, that last post was a little odd...think I had some people wondering about my sanity or the current state of my beliefs.

The thing was that some people got the wrong impression of something I was doing. That's all cleared up now but at the time I wrote the post I was a bit ticked off, as you could tell.
So anyway, it's been quite awhile since anything meaningful happened here!

A year passed between my posts (still not really sure how that happened) and almost everyone moved to Facebook -- which, btw, you can now find me on as well. Poor
Beth has been here all alone...

But I'm back now! and so is
Emily, who is on her third (or fourth) xanga haha so y'all go say hi to her.
So what happened in the last year, or more like year and a half? Hmm, let's see...*opens calendar*...Good dang there's a lot I've forgotten! Birthday parties during the 2007 summer (I turned 19), vacation, NCF boys retreat, went to a wedding and a wedding reception, started my senior year of high school, and missed the Foster's dance in October...I think. Went hunting for the first time (didn't get anything). I was too busy to be a part of the fall drama production but was pulled in anyway to play a minor role in the junior production (Best Christmas Pagent Ever).

Helped with the cast photos of the senior play, Little Women.

Thanksgiving was Thanksgiving, great food of course, and Christmas was Christmas.
Sidetrack: I don't think I've ever had it snow on Christmas day. It snowed once on Christmas Eve I remember. Has anyone (that didn't live someplace like Wisconsin) ever had it snow on Christmas?
Ok, back to history. Went to
Kate's 18th birthday dance, then
Lydia & Meaghan's 18th birthday dance at the Fort Pickett Officer's Club. First time I had been there, as I had missed the previous dance that had been there.
Visited Monticello with friends. It was super misty/foggy.
and also went on a tour of Civil War sites in Richmond.

Did some bowling this spring. Videotaped the spring drama and released the DVD. I also assisted with the cast photos, which you can see with some others I took at my
Flickr. I'll be posting most of the photos I take there from now on.
This spring was my last year of the homeschool softball. A great season with many excellent games, although my team didn't end up winning. The kids beat the parents/coaches again though!

So that brings us up to late spring 2008. This year a lot of friends graduated and we went to their gradations. It was a lot of fun to see things that they've done throughout their lives, and it really enforced in me just how deep people are. That's a good thing to be reminded of.
Attended the Foster's ball, which from fear of rain was moved at the last minute from being outside to the Amelia building. Ah, the dancing is fun. Five years ago I
never would have thought I would be saying that.
And so began the summer. And now it's over. What a difference to last year. Both summers sped by so fast you couldn't see them go, but 2007 at least lots of stuff happening that you could say you did. 2008 had, it seemed, very little happen before it was over. Of course, college starts a month earlier than high school ever did, which shortens the summer by that much more.
One thing we did was go to see Farmville's fireworks for the first time. I took along my new Nikon D40 SLR.

Also went on a canoe "float" on the James River. That was fun, I hadn't been on a canoe trip for years. Then I had my birthday, the big Two Oh for those keeping track. Yeah, I've left my teen years behind me! No excuses now...
Yes, I am starting college! I went to orientation at Southside on Thursday (oh that took a long time!) and my two on-campus classes start Monday. I should be getting ahead on my two online courses but I haven't yet. Not the best idea...
Finally, that brings us up to today. Wow.
Wow, also, because today happens to be my sister's 18th birthday! Happy Birthday sis!
Yeesh, I think I am posted out...
